This Abuse Policy sets out the rules governing acceptable and prohibited uses of the Services provided by iServeCloud (Pty) Ltd, including its sub-companies and brands ("iServeCloud").
The purpose of this policy is to protect our network, infrastructure, customers, and the broader internet community from abuse.
This policy applies to all clients, users, and third parties accessing iServeCloud’s Services, including but not limited to web hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, game servers, apps, databases, and related services.
Clients may not use iServeCloud Services for:
- Hosting, distributing, or promoting material in violation of South African or international law.
- Activities infringing intellectual property rights (piracy, copyright, or trademark infringement).
- Fraud, phishing, identity theft, or impersonation.
- Terrorism-related content or activities.
- Unauthorized access (hacking, brute force, port scanning).
- Distributing malware, viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or exploits.
- Denial-of-Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, botnets, or any activity that disrupts Services.
- Circumventing or attempting to bypass security controls.
- Sending bulk, unsolicited, or fraudulent emails (spam).
- Operating open mail relays or anonymous bulk messaging systems.
- Sending unsolicited SMS, instant messages, or similar communications.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Hate speech, harassment, defamation, threats, or incitement to violence.
- Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or dangerous activities.
- Excessive use of CPU, bandwidth, or storage that disrupts other Clients.
- Cryptocurrency mining or similar intensive workloads without prior authorization.
- Using Services for resale or sub-leasing without written consent.
- Abuse incidents should be reported to [email protected] with detailed information (IP addresses, timestamps, logs, etc.).
- iServeCloud will investigate all abuse reports promptly and take appropriate action.
- Where required, iServeCloud will cooperate with law enforcement authorities.
- iServeCloud reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate Services without notice if a Client engages in prohibited activities.
- Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent termination of all Services.
- iServeCloud may block access to or remove any content deemed abusive, illegal, or harmful.
- Fees paid for Services suspended or terminated due to abuse are non-refundable.
- Clients are responsible for any abuse originating from their accounts, including by end-users, customers, or third parties using their Services.
- Clients must implement appropriate security measures (firewalls, access controls, anti-virus) to prevent abuse.
- Failure to manage end-user abuse is treated as the Client’s responsibility.
This Abuse Policy may be amended from time to time. Clients will be notified of updates via email with a link to the new version. Continued use of Services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
